Solid oil stain gives deeper more solid pigment to the wood making the color more vibrant.

One coat acrylic is only available in medium to dark colours.
Two coat acrylic starts with a tannin blocking prime coat. The second coat is a 100% acrylic solid top coat in any color.
Three coat acrylic starts with the same process as the two coat with an additional coat of 100% acrylic solid paint.
